Las Vegas and Salt Lake

Well Ira is just about to go to boot camp in San Diego so before we left we thought it would be fun to visit some friends and family and spend some time together before he leaves. Our first trip was two general conference in May. Ira has never been there so we thought it would be fun to head up there together with my Mom and Dad. we stopped in Las Vegas to see Brad and Rachelle, Jaden and wonderful Savannah. It’s always good visiting them and although we weren’t able to stay very long it was nice that we were able to go “experience” what Vegas is known for… you know.. A buffet! Yep Hendrix got to try his first Buffet and he enjoyed having ICE CREAM for breakfast. Come to think of it so did IRA! While we were there Ira got to speak his beloved Filipino language with one of the waitresses there, he loves being able to speak it whenever he can.

Well after we said our goodbyes and stated for the “mother land” as Ira likes to call it or what is commonly known as Salt Lake. Linda suggested to say a prayer and she volunteered to say it… Well if you know anything about the length of Linda's prayers you know why no one ever asks her to bless the food (it would all spoil before she was done). Anyways as we pulled out of the parking lot in Vegas she started praying and as we crossed the Nevada Utah boarder 200 miles away she finished jk love you mom :). While we were in Utah got to go to the Zoo with Ira’s mission Greenie and have dinner with his family (the nicest Family too!) and we enjoyed the great weather 75 degrees until Saturday night when it snowed. We stayed with Tricia (a family friend) and just had a great time.

General Conference!!!

SOOOO glad he got a haircut! Thanks Mariah! His hair looks so much better now! (look @ his smile....hehehe)

Hendrix isn't sure about dogs, but he was playing with Logan's dogs (Ira's Greenie) up in Utah, and they were just such nice dogs. They let him grab and pull on them the entire time, it was really cute!

We had such a fun time visiting Vegas and Salt Lake. Hendrix was such a good traveler and had fun to. We are looking forward to visiting Shaun and April in Chicago and Trent and Erika in Texas this month before Ira leaves for boot camp.
